Samantha Ruth Prabhu misses the trailer launch event of Kushi, Here’s why

The trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kushi was unveiled at a grand event in Hyderabad. It was earlier reported that despite being on a break, Samantha will promote the film with makers and co-star Vijay. But now, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has skipped the Kushi trailer launch event.

If reports are to be believed, Samantha missed the trailer launch event due to a health scare. The diva is suffering from the auto-immune disease Myotisis. The actress is even on an acting break due to her health issues. She recently went to Bali to rejuvenate herself after the announcement of the break.

Talking about Kushi, the trailer highlights the complexities faced by the couple post-marriage, emphasizing the reality that love alone is not sufficient. The movie is about to show factors such as mutual understanding and trust also play crucial roles. Samantha plays the role of Aaradhya in the upcoming film who gets married to Viplav (Vijay) despite their parent’s disapproval.

For the uninitiated, Kushi marks Samantha and Vijay’s second film together post Mahanati. The Shiva Nirvana directorial will release on 1st September.

Meanwhile, Samantha is currently not signing any films. After wrapping up the Citadel India shoot, Samantha announced her acting break. She had shared pictures with Raj and DK and penned a note about taking a break. She wrote, “And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia. A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming. @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.. I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e until you write me the next”. Citadel also features Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is making his debut in the digital space.
