The trailer takes us on a journey of two lovers, Viplav (Vijay) and Aaradhya (Samantha). While Viplav manages to capture Aaradhya’s heart after persistently pursuing her, she too eventually falls deeply in love with him. Despite their parents’ disapproval due to astrological mismatches, the couple decides to marry. However, their relationship begins to deteriorate after marriage. The Kushi trailer highlights the complexities faced by the couple post-marriage, emphasizing the reality that love alone is not sufficient. The movie is about to show factors such as mutual understanding and trust also play crucial roles.

Infused with a touch of humour and abundant romance, along with real-life problems, many individuals might find it relatable to the movie. It adeptly portrays the modern-day relationship of a headstrong couple. The movie marks Samantha’s second collaboration with the director Shiva Nirvana after the 2019 movie Majili. It also brings together her and Vijay for the second time after their 2018 film Mahanati.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Kushi also stars Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Rohini, Ali, and Rahul Ramakrishna in pivotal roles. The movie is being produced by Mythri Makers. The musical score has been crafted by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Kushi will be releasing in theatres on September 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.
