Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s father, Joseph Prabhu, has passed away. The Citadel actress took to Instagram stories and shared an emotional note in which she wrote, “Until we meet again, Dad,” with a broken heart emoji.

Samantha was born to Joseph Prabhu and Ninette Prabhu in Chennai. Her father, a Telugu Anglo-Indian, played a crucial role in her life and upbringing. She often talked about her father and how he supported her in the journey.

Fans and well-wishers have expressed their sympathies to the actress during this trying time following the news of her father’s loss.

In October 2021, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’ ended their marriage. Samantha’s father, Joseph Prabhu, had taken to Facebook to share throwback wedding pictures and reflect on the past. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Long long ago, there was a story. And it doesn’t exist anymore! So, let’s start a new story. And a new chapter.”

In the last picture shared by Joseph, we can see Samantha dressed in a white gown and on the other hand, Naga wore a black tuxedo in some of the photos as they posed with their family and guests in the throwbacks.
