Samantha Ruth Prabhu to team up with Vijay for Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Thalapathy 67?

Thalapathy 67 is one of the most anticipated upcoming movies of Vijay. He is collaborating with Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the movie. The latest reports suggest that Samantha Ruth Prabhu might star opposite the Beast actor. Lokesh Kanagaraj and his team want to rope in Samantha to play the female lead in Thalapathy 67. As per a report in Filmibeat, sources suggest that the filmmaker has already narrated the script to Sam and she is impressed with it.

It is said that there are high chances that Samantha will collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay. Earlier, they had appeared together in films like Theri, Mersal and Kaththi. They are one of the best on-screen couples.

Thalapathy 67, is Vijay’s second collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the blockbuster Master. Reportedly, the film will go on floors by the end of this year and apparently it will be officially launched on June 22, on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday.

On the work front, Samantha is currently shooting for Kushi with Vijay Devarakonda. She was last seen in Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal also co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. She has Yashoda and Shaakuntalam in her kitty. While Vijay is now shooting for Thalapathy 66 and the second scheduled shooting of the film has started in Chennai on June 3. He was last seen in Beast with Pooja Hegde that didn’t perform that well at the box-office. Lokesh Kanagaraj is currentlly grabbing the headlines for his film Vikram with Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Fassil and Suriya. It has got positive reviews and opened with good numbers.
