Here’s why Samantha turned down Atlee’s film starring Shah Rukh Khan

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s separation took everyone by surprise. Fans were heartbroken when Sam and Chay announced separation on social media. Post this there were many speculations surrounding their divorce. The recent report states that Samantha was supposed to star in Atlee’s film that has Shah Rukh Khan. But she turned down the offer as she was planning a baby with Naga Chaitanya back then.The film is tentatively titled Lion.

The film stars Nayanthara opposite Shah Rukh and she has been currently shooting for it in Mumbai. SRK has reportedly put the shoot on hold due to his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug case. He was shooting for the film in Pune. Nayanthara and the Pathan actor’s pictures from the sets were leaked and they went viral on social media. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Nayanthara and Shah Rukh sharing the same screen space together in Atlees’s film.

Coming back to Samantha, she has got back to work after a break. She has signed two bilingual films-one with director Shantaruban Gnanasekharan and the other with director duo Hari and Harish. She has also wrapped up shoots of her upcoming movies-Shaakuntalam directed by Gunasekhar. The movie has Dev Mohan. She will also star in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal, that is Tamil film that also has Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.
