Actor Sanjay Dutt  has been sentenced to five year jail term for illegally possessing weapons and explosives in Mumbai blast case. He is supposed to surrender before jail authorities on May 16 to undergo his remaining jail term.

Dutt filed the application in the TADA court to allow him to surrender before Yerwada jail in Pune instead of giving himself up before the special court. He also told special TADA court that he faces threat to his life from fundamentalist groups.
Judge G A Sanap asked CBI to file a reply and posted the hearing on Dutt’s plea on Wednesday.
