Shanthanu Bhagyaraj reveals his parents K Bhagyaraj and Poornima have tested positive for COVID

On Friday, Paava Kadhaigal actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj shared that his parents- veteran actor-director K Bhagyaraj and actress Poornima Bhagyaraj have tested positive for Covid-19. Shanthanu went on to request everyone to pray for his parents’ speedy recovery. He also urged everyone who came in contact with them in the last few days to get themselves tested.

Sharing the news via his Twitter handle, Shanthanu tweeted, “My parents #KBhagyaraj #PoornimaBhagyaraj tested POSITIVE fr #Covid19 today. All of us incl. staff have quarantined ourselves @ home as per our doctor’s instructions. Requesting everyone who were in contact with any of us last 10days to get tested. Pls pray fr their speedy recovery(sic).”

Shanthanu and his wife Kiki have also undergone home quarantine.

In the past few months, several celebs like Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, R Madhavan, have tested positive for the deadly virus. Pooja Hegde recently, recovered from the Coronavirus. On the work front, Shanthanu will be next seen in Murungakkai Chips, Kasada Thapara and Raavana Koottam. He was last seen in Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master.
