Sobhita Dhulipala glows as she decks up in orange lehenga for her engagement ceremony with Naga Chaitanya

Actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya had an intimate engagement ceremony on August 8. The first pictures were shared by Chay’s father Nagarjuna on his X handle, taking the internet by storm. Later, the pictures were shared by Chay and Sobhita along with a joint statement, reading, “What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.” Now, her makeup artist has shared a BTS video of Sobhita before the ceremony.

The video showed Sobhita getting ready for the big moment but she glows differently this time. The Major actor radiated happiness and joy as she was seen getting ready for the ceremony. From doing her makeup to wearing the beautiful Manish Malhotra creation, she looked beautiful as a South Indian bride. Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni wore traditional attire from Manish Malhotra.

As per Manish’s IG post, Sobhita wore a golden blush Uppada silk saree, reflecting her roots with a hue inspired by Kanakaambaram and the Padmam. The silhouette, echoing Bapu’s art, captured the essence of the classic half-saree style. Naga Chaitanya donned an ivory brocade and muted gold tussar silk Pattu pancha, laalchi, and kanduva set, adorned with antique gold dori work, celebrating Andhra Pradesh’s craftsmanship.

Nagarjuna talks about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s engagement ceremony

In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna said that he was happy for his son to have found a partner. He said, “Sobhita and Chay make a wonderful couple. They love each other dearly.” Sharing details about the engagement date, Nagarjuna said, “We chose this day because it was very auspicious. Both families consulted the Nakshatras, and when we were told August 8 was a very auspicious day, we decided to go ahead with it.”
