Someone told Priyanka Chopra she couldn’t get pregnant, and she slammed them in style!

So, in India, pregnant woman are treated like some sort of handicaps. You’ll be wrong to think that such regressive thought process does not exist among the educated, urban population. Even is showbiz, actresses who are expecting are often treated with difference. Actress Priyanka Chopra, during a recent interview with a popular publication, revealed how a big brand once wanted her to sign a deal where she would not be allowed to get pregnant.

“I was signing a contract for a big corporation a couple of years ago, and a clause there said that they (corporation) could terminate it (contract) if I got pregnant. I was livid. How could you tell me I could not get pregnant. Not sick, not overweight, just pregnant! Their logic was that I would not be able to deliver the project on time. I was fine with working when I am pregnant. We had a big argument over it. I said ‘Alright, if I can’t deliver when I am pregnant, you have the right to terminate my contract. If I can deliver, and you don’t want me to, then I have the right to terminate,” she said.
