Prithviraj Sukumaran to lock horns with Mahesh Babu as plays villain in SS Rajamouli’s Indian version of Indiana Jones

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is one of the prolific directors in Indian cinema. He has delivered several blockbusters movies but the ones that have become iconic are the Baahubali series and RRR. Now, he is gearing up for another blockbuster movie with Mahesh Babu and now he has found his villain in none other than Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie is said to be on the lines of Indiana Jones and said to be an African Jungle Adventure.

Prithviraj to play the villain in the movie

According to Pinkvilla sources, SS Rajamouli and his team have locked the antagonist of their next. “SS Rajamouli has been talking to Prithviraj for a while now and the duo have finally signed the dotted lines. Now, Prithviraj is all set to take on Mahesh Babu under the direction of SS Rajamouli,” the source said.

Prithviraj who also played an antagonist in Salaar is set to play a villain but it’s not going to be a quintessential one. “It’s a well-written part, that has an arc of its own. The character has his own backstory justifying the actions, and Prithviraj is also excited for his first-ever collaboration with both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu,” the source added.

Talking about the conflict between the hero and the villain

“The film will be shot in real-life jungles as well as the studio set up. SS Rajamouli wants to scale up the bar for Indian Cinema by creating never-seen-before visuals on screen against the backdrop of African Jungles. He is also looking to redefine the conventional hero v/s villain conflict in his story. That’s the factor which excited both Mahesh and Prithviraj,” the source concluded.

Meanwhile, Rajamouli made an exciting cameo in Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD. He made a brief appearance in the movie but it was quite entertaining.
