Suriya’s upcoming film Suriya 42 with director Siruthai Siva goes on floors, see PIC

Actor Suriya’s next film with director Siruthai Siva went on floors today (August 24). The film is tentatively titled Suriya 42. The Jai Bhim star took to social media to announce the news. He shared a picture with the director and music composer Devi Sri Prasad aka DSP. All three were in white as they posed for a happy pic.

Sharing the pic, Suriya wrote, “Shoot begins..! Need all your blessings..!! #Suriya42 @directorsiva @ThisIsDSP @StudioGreen2 @UV_Creations (sic).” The cast and crew of the film will be announced later. Studio Green and UV Creations will be jointly backing the film. It is said to be a family entertainer.

Reportedly, Suriya 42 is a pan-Indian film and the makers are planning to release the motion poster of it by next week.

Suriya was recently seen in a cameo in Kamal Haasan’s Tamil film Vikram where he played a character called Rolex. He was also in R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. At the recent 68th National Film Awards, his film Soorarai Pottru won the Best Feature Film Award. Suriya bagged the Best Actor as well for the film.

On the work front, apart from Suriya 42, the Singam actor also will be seen in Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivaasal and Bala’s Vanangaan. He will also be seen in a cameo role in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru that stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
