Thala Ajith starrer Valimai to release next year on Pongal; Producer Boney Kapoor confirms

Thala Ajith’s Valimai is one of the highly anticipated movies and fans, since day one, have been waiting for the movie’s release date. And today, i.e. on September 22, producer Boney Kapoor took to social media to announce that Valimai will release next year on the occasion of Pongal. He tweeted, “Happy to announce that #Valimai will hit the screens on Pongal 2022. #ValimaiFromPongal #ValimaiPongal #Valimai.”

The movie was trending on the internet yesterday too, as the makers unveiled the first look poster of Kartikeya Gummakonda was released on the occasion of his birthday. For the unversed, he is playing the role of an antagonist in the cop drama.

Speaking of the movie, the same is directed by H Vinoth. The film’s shooting was wrapped with a last and short schedule in Russia last month. In the movie, Ajith is playing the role of a police officer. He was last seen as a cop in Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal. Apart from Ajith and Kartikeya, the film features Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu, Sumitra, and Pugazh in key roles. The technical crew consists of Nirav Shah for cinematography and Vijay Velukutty for editing.

This is the second collaboration of H Vinoth, Boney Kapoor and Ajith. They all earlier had teamed up for Nerkonda Paarvai. Talking about Ajith, after wrapping up the shoot, Ajith went on a 10,000 km bike trip across Russia. He also plans to go on a world tour on his bike.
