Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer Beast is one of the much-awaited movies of the year. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the hostage thriller is all set to hit the screens on April 13 worldwide. But, a bad news for all the fans of Vijay in Kuwait. Kuwait Ministry of Information has reportedly banned the release of Beast in the country and the reasons could be the violent content, and a plotline involving terrorists. In the trailer of Beast, we see terrorists hijacking a mall and taking the people hostages. It shows terror attacks and some scenes apparently talk about Islamic terrorism.
Beast is not the first movie to be banned in Kuwait. Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup and Vishnu Vishal’s FIR were also banned in the country. Beast has been given permission to be released in the UAE and other Arab countries. The ban in Kuwait might affect the overseas collection of the film.
#Beast is banned by the Ministry of Information in #Kuwait
Reason could be Portrayal of Pak, Terrorists or Violence
Recently Indian Movies #Kurup and #FIR were banned in #Kuwait
Of late, #Kuwait Censor is becoming very strict in GCC compared to other countries in the region
