Sonakshi Sinha recently revealed the reason she signed up A.R.Murugadoss action dhamaka ‘Akira’. The beauty is seen as the ‘Hero’ of the film, bashing up goons left, right and center. The ‘Tevar’ actress is also seen performing some high-octane stunts in the upcoming film that depicts her as a no-nonsense girl who does not stop only at raising her voice against atrocities but puts an end to it too in true Bollywood hero style.
Speaking about her role in the film, Sona said, “The fact that it’s AR Murugadoss’ film, the fact that he is the director who works with top action stars of the country. And it’s a woman-centric film and he has put that kind of faith in me that he wants me to portray such a role. I am the hero of this film so that was the reason and of course the film has a fantastic story. It has great content and that’s why I wanted to be a part of this film.”
Speaking at the trailer launch of the movie the Khamosh girl had said that, “I am really happy to be part of the film where a woman is doing so much action, it’s a path breaker. I feel all powered-up to punch someone now.”
AR Murugadoss directorial also stars Anurag Kashyap in a pivotal role. The remake of the 2011 Tamil film ‘Mouna Guru’ and will release on September 2.
