Valimai: Ajith Kumar starrer to hit the theatres worldwide on THIS date

Ajith Kumar’s Valimai has got a new release date. Filmmaker Boney Kapoor shared the new release date of Valimai on his Twitter handle. It will now have a theatrical release worldwide on February 24. The Tamil movie also stars Kartikeya Gummakonda and Huma Qureshi. The trailer released recently and it received an overwhelming response. It has been written and directed by H Vinoth. It is Boney Kapoor’s second collaboration with Ajith Kumar and H Vinoth, after Nerkonda Paarvai, which was the Tamil remake of Bollywood film Pink. Valimai will also be made available in Hindi.

Sharing the news, Boney wrote, “Happy to Announce #Valimai Will be Worldwide Theaterical Release on Feb 24”.

The movie was postponed due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. It was scheduled to release in Pongal on January 13. Boney took to his Twitter handle to release a statement.

The statement read: “Audiences and fans have always been the source of our felicity. Their unconditional support and love during the hard times, instilled vital hopes in us to face the hardships, and successfully complete our dream project. All that we desired during every single moment was to see them cheerful and happy in the cinema halls. At the same time, the safety and well-being of our audiences has always been at the forefront of all our decisions. Given the steep rise in Covid infections across the globe, and abiding by the regulations of the authorities, we have decided to postpone the release of our film ‘Valimai’ until the situation normalises. Get vaccinated, wear a mask and stay safe. See you in theatres very soon”.

We hope Valimai doesn’t get pushed this time and gets released on the scheduled date.
