Vignesh Shivan calls Nayanthara’s mom his ‘other mother’ as he wishes her on birthday with unseen wedding pic

On September 14, actress Nayanthara’s mother Omana Kurian has turned a year older. To mark the special occasion, Vignesh Shivan wished his mother-in-law with a heartfelt birthday post. He also shared an unseen wedding picture. The filmmaker was seen planting a kiss on her forehead in the priceless snap. Vignesh was in his wedding attire- veshti, kurta and shawl while Omana was in a silver saree.

Vignesh called her ‘my other mother’ as he penned the special birthday note. Sharing the pic on his Instagram handle, he wrote, “Happy birthday dear Omana Kurian, my other mother. A woman I love so much and always look up to. Purest soul with a beautiful heart. Praying to God for your good health, peace, happiness and a lot of blessings” and added lots of heart emojis.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married on June 9, in an intimate wedding ceremony. It was held at Sheraton Grand, Mahabalipuram, Chennai. Only their family and close friends were in attendance. Celebs like Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Mani Ratnam and Atlee, among others attended the wedding.

Post their wedding, the couple visited Tirupati temple to seek blessings and later went for their honeymoon in Thailand. Recently, they went to Spain for their second honeymoon.

Nayanthara and Vignesh’s wedding documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, will be out on Netflix soon. The Lady Superstar will also be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s Jawan. It will release in June 2023.
