Vijay Deverakonda on being a pan-India star, says ‘We are able to show good stories to our country’

The trailer of the much-awaited romantic film ‘Kushi’ was released on Wednesday, August 9 in Hyderabad. The launch event was attended by the entire star cast and crew of the film. However, the leading lady of the film, Samantha missed the event. At the trailer launch of Kushi, Vijay Deverakonda didn’t shy away from expressing his thoughts. After speaking about his marriage plans, the actor shared his thoughts on being a Pan-India star.

Vijay was asked by a journalist how he feels about being labeled as a pan-India star. The actor said, “Bahut lucky manta hu mai apne app ko ki mai is time pe actor hu jab kahaniya pure desh ko we are able to show good stories. Yeh nayi baat nahi hai, jab humare epics the Ramayan ya Mahabharat, they were stories jo ek hi kahaani sab sikhte the, sab sunte the. (I feel fortunate to be an actor at a time when we are able to show good stories to our country. This is not something new, earlier when there were epics like Ramayana or Mahabharata, everyone knew and understood the same story.)

He further said, “When we became filmmakers, media and technology were not easy to cross borders. But ab wo bhi easy ho gaya hai so I m really happy that jo stories hum pure desh k liye bana sakte hai, ab ban rahe hai. And I am happy to bring those stories to the country. I feel privileged. Talking about the Kushi trailer, it highlights the complexities faced by the couple post-marriage, emphasizing the reality that love alone is not sufficient. The movie is about to show how factors such as mutual understanding and trust play crucial roles. Kushi stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda in lead roles.
