When Vijay Deverakonda showed his vulnerable side: My father didn’t have a long enough career for me to study it

On Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday, we revisited the time he opened up about the lessons he learned from his father, Deverakonda Govardhan Rao.

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most loved actors in the industry. Vijay made his acting debut with Nuvvila and then there was no looking back for him. Over the years, Vijay has been a part of movies like Yevade Subramanyam, Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, and Mahanati among others. With terrific performances in films, Vijay has made a mark for himself in the industry. The actor credits his success to his father, Govardhan Rao.

Vijay shares a close bond with his father. For the uninitiated, Vijay’s father Govardhan was a TV actor and director. Last year, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vijay showed his vulnerable side as he opened up about the lessons he learned from his father.

Here’s what Vijay Deverakonda said about his father…

The actor told us, “My father didn’t have a long enough career for me to study it, but he has learned a lot from life and from his brief stint at directing TV. So, he does give me a lot of philosophy about fighting for what you like and fighting for survival and focus. So, a lot of my thought process has come from him growing up just as a person. I take a lot from my father.”

Further, speaking about the one thing he would fight for in life, Vijay said, “I think my career has given me the most in life and my family. So, I would fight for these two.”

Vijay is a family person. In March, Vijay enjoyed a short vacation with his parents. Vijay’s caption read, “Making memories with the two people that matter most.” The video speaks volumes of the bond that he shares with them.
