Vijay Deverakonda reveals he was in a ‘long relationship’, here’s why he never said ‘I love you too’

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most popular actors in the industry. Vijay, who remains tight-lipped about his personal life, has opened up about his feelings on love and relationships. In a recent interview, Vijay revealed he was in a ‘long relationship’ after he became an actor. He also spilled the beans on why he has never said ‘I love you too’ to anybody.

Speaking with GQ, Vijay said, “I’m someone who loves being in love. I believes in love stories. They’re my happy place. But I’m also scared of heartbreak. So far, it hasn’t happened.” The actor went on to add that though his heart has never been broken, he broke other’s hearts by not allowing them to come close, due to some advice given to him by his father.

The actor added, “Growing up, my dad taught me that love is bullshit and that money is the center of this world. This was ingrained in me so deeply that when I grew into an adult, I didn’t believe in relationships. I began believing that whoever came to me, came with a want. When someone said they love me, I never said I love you too. Till today, it doesn’t come as naturally as it should.” He went on to reveal that he was in a long relationship with a woman after he became an actor. The actor refused to reveal the name of the person he was dating.

Vijay will be seen as an MMA fighter in Liger. The film also stars Ananya, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy among others. Mike Tyson plays a cameo in the film. It is slated to release on August 25.
