Vijay Deverakonda savagely slams trolls, says, ‘Before aunties and uncles used to troll and now social media’

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most popular stars down South. Vijay is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Liger. The actor has been busy promoting his film with co-star Ananya Panday. Vijay plays a boxer in Liger, and Ananya will be seen as his love interest in the film. During recent media interaction, Vijay talked about social media trolling and also revealed if Liger is a remake of Ravi Teja starrer Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi.

When asked about social media trolling, as quoted by Pinkvilla, Vijay said, “It’s common, it’s an everyday thing. Even before I became an actor, aunties, and uncles used to troll about results, college, job etc and now it’s social media trolling. Be it anything, trolling is always there.”

On the other hand, ever since the trailer of Liger released, there have been rumours that the upcoming film is a remake of Ravi Teja starrer Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. Addressing the same, Vijay said, “First of all, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi is one of my favourite films. If at all it had to be remade, everything should fall into place in perfection. But I can assure you that I’m not the guy who would do remakes. I wouldn’t do anything even remotely close to a remake.”

Liger has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Apart from Vijay and Ananya, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and others. Liger is slated to release on 25^th August. It will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
