Vijay Deverakonda visits Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj; take Holy dip at Sangam with mother Madhavi

Several devotees – including actors from the different film industries of India, have been visiting Prayagraj to take a Holy dip at Sangam as part of the ongoing Maha Kumbh. After stars like Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin and his actress-girlfriend Dakota Johnson, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, Poonam Pandey, Anupam Kher and more, now actor Vijay Deverakonda was recently spotted taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam.

Vijay Deverakonda take Holy dip at Maha Kumbh

On Friday, February 7, Vijay Deverakonda travelled from Hyderabad to Prayagraj with his mother to participate in the Maha Kumbh festivities. While there, the ‘Khushi’ actor took a Holy dip at Sangam. Heartwarming pictures of the actor with his mother, Madhavi, from the sacred event has now gone viral. Check them out here:

As seen in the pictures above, the mother-son duo was seen offering prayers with folded hands – embodying devotion and tradition, as they stood in the Holy waters. For the Holy dip, Vijay Deverakonda wore an orange dhoti along with a rudraksha mala around his neck. His mother, Madhavi, wore an orange kurta with white floral patterns, draped with a shawl and rudraksha beads.

While the actor looked spiritual, his rugged VD12 look made fans even more exciting the viral pictures.

On the professional front, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The epic science-fiction – set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. Fans are now eagerly awaiting updates on his next big project, tentatively titled #VD12.
