Actor Vijay Sethupathi is not someone who minces his words and same was evident during a recent media interaction. During a promotional event for his upcoming next, MahaRaja, Sethupathi was quizzed about heroes being cast opposite heroines who are much younger than them.
The ‘Jawan’ actor – when asked his views on actors romancing actresses who once played their sisters and daughters, simply replied, ‘Please leave it.’ For those who don’t know, a while ago, Vijay told Behindwoods that the reason behind rejecting Krithi Shetty as the female lead in DSP was the age gap between the two. Read on to know what he said.
Vijay Sethupathi on actors romancing younger actresses
As per Indian Express, Vijay Sethupathi was not interested in repeating his statements about actors romancing younger actresses. When asked about this topic, the ‘Master’ actor said, “I have spoken about it already. I acted with Krithi Shetty in Uppenna in 2021, and later, a director told me let’s approach her for another film as a heroine. I said no because I had asked her to consider me as a dad during the climax sequence of Uppenna. So, I said no.”
The ‘Farzi’ actor added that the decision on whether to feature opposite any actor lies with the actress too. He said, “What if she had told me that she doesn’t want to act with me because ‘this man has asked me to consider him as dad’. She can say no also. I have answered this question earlier. Please leave it.”
