The honour was conferred on him by French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler as a recognition of his contribution in the Indo-French partnership in cinema. Nadiadwala’s last production venture ‘Tamasha’ was shot in France’s beautiful Corsica Island.

Sajid expressed his happiness with a statement, “I am very thankful to the French embassy for the honour that they have conferred upon me. France is a beautiful country which is not completely tapped into in our films. Shooting there has been such a delight thanks to the cooperation from them. Looking forward to associating with them more in the near future.

Nadiadwala has some of the blockbuster movies like ‘Judwaa’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Housefull’ to his credit.
