Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty share the untold story of ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’ at a special Singham screening

With anticipation at its peak for the release of the biggest family entertainer of the year, Singham Again, Rohit Shetty has been treating fans to a variety of surprises each week. Recently, the first song from the film, Jai Bajrangbali, captivated millions of fans with Ranveer Singh’s dynamic entry as Simmba and Ajay Devgn’s magnetic screen presence, making it a spiritually uplifting experience.

Before letting fans experience the modern Ramayan with Singham Again, Rohit Shetty decided to take them on a trip down memory lane by re-releasing the first film in his cop universe – Singham in theatres. The film was released in cinemas on October 18 and a special screening – with Devgn and Shetty in attendance, was organized in Andheri last evening.

While interacting with fans, Ajay Devgn shared insights about the iconic Singham dialogue, ‘Aata Majhi Satakli.’ The ‘Singham Again’ actor recalled, “At that moment it was just a line. You deliver a lot of lines and you don’t know what the audiences will lap up to. While doing it, it was just a line and it became a cult line.” He further added, “You would never plan a superhit film, you only try to make a good film and superhit happens if audiences show love!”

Written and directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar reprising their roles in the cop universe. Joining the action-packed franchise this time are Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff as well as Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff as the film’s villains. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali, aka November 1.
