Actor Rushad, who was last seen in Anupamaa and Mehendi Wala Ghar and recently seen in the movie Ulajh starring Janhvi Kapoor, says that people are hard-pressed for a time now that the pandemic is behind us. Rushad Rana says that this is why people are watching less content on OTT now.

Rushad Rana on why people watch less content

“There are a lot of OTT shows being made now. And not as much content is being consumed by audiences because now times have changed. People have gone back to work. The OTT boom happened during the first lockdown when everyone was at home. And they had nothing better to do than to watch content on their screens. So I think that gave a boost to OTT platforms. But now that everyone is back to work, I think there is a lot of content available and that’s why people are being lost they are getting lost as to what to watch where to watch and when to watch basically. I think people don’t have that much time to watch so much content which is being delivered to them at the moment,” he says.

Most of the OTT projects have some bold content but this is slowly changing says the actor. He added, “I think bold content when the OTT boom happened was a lot more. I think now things are changing. Now I think bold content is a little censored from what I see and what I understand. Earlier they were showing a lot, now I think it’s a little controlled. I think they’ve realized this because if they want families to come together and watch shows together. They obviously can’t have lots of bold content happening. And I think there is also a division of audiences. People go to those kinds of shows who want to watch that kind of content.”
