Having traversed countless destinations and documented her experiences in short-form reels and posts, Larissa is now elevating her storytelling to a larger platform with the premiere of her first short film – Beyond Borders and Banter by Larissa D’sa. This marks a significant leap as a content creator, showcasing her travels to Kolkata during the iconic Durga Puja festival on a cinematic screen, offering a richer, more immersive narrative than ever before

Set against the backdrop of Kolkata’s electrifying Durga Puja season, the film will be unveiled on September 22nd, offering an intimate and visually stunning portrayal of the city and its festive traditions.
Through Larissa’s lens, the film takes viewers on a journey through Kolkata’s rich cultural tapestry. From draping herself in a traditional saree to indulging in the city’s iconic culinary delights, she delves deep into the heart of the Durga Puja experience. The film showcases her connection with the local artisans, offering a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the sacred process of idol-making, while also capturing the sheer vibrancy and devotion of the festival.
This cinematic experience is set to immerse audiences in the sights, sounds, and emotions of Kolkata during one of its most celebrated times of the year, as Larissa brings the essence of the city to life.

Expressing her views on the film, Larissa D’Sa, renowned Lifestyle & Content Creator said; “Travel for me has always been about more than just visiting new places. It’s a way to understand myself better and to grow and evolve with each journey. When I travel with this purpose, it opens me up to new cultures, people, and experiences – be it good or challenging. My recent travel experience to Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities was nothing short of majestic.”
She continued, “My objective is to bring the audience into the heart of Kolkata’s magic in the Durga Puja Season through the music that captures the soul of Kolkata, and through food and beverages inspired by the city’s rich culinary traditions. The film is my way of saying the experience doesn’t end when the event does, it continues, living on in their memories, bringing us all closer to the spirit of Kolkata.“
The premier of the film will be held in Veda Kunba Theatre in Mumbai on 22nd September from 2 pm to 4 pm.
