Best & Worst Dressed: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah eye-grabbing looks at Cannes 2022

It is that time of the year when we get to see impeccable fashion and styles on the red carpet. Well, we are talking about the Cannes International Film festival of 2022. Oh boy, the Indian stars have upped their fashion game with their looks and we can’t stop gushing over them (some of their looks) While some experiment with their style, excelling in the fashion report, there are some whose style is worth giving it a miss or worst-case scenario, forgetting it. Stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah and many more have flourished with their sartorial choices that some impressed us while some made us say ‘Oh no.’

As Cannes 2022 is taking the internet by storm, we have compiled their looks for Best and Worst dressed looks on the red carpet, you will be either surprised to see your favourite stars in that category. Take a look at the Best and Worst dressed looks of the actors here:

1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan- WORST:

The former Miss World who owns the red carpet like a queen was seen wearing a Dolce & Gabbana floral dress at Cannes 2022. Though Ash always manages to impress the fashion police, this time, she looked like a phoolon ka guldasta which was quite off-putting. Taking a risk when it comes to fashion has always been a thing for Aishwarya and we loved that. However, her hairdo, to wearing a garden full of flowers, the Devdas actor’s charm and charm magic failed to entice us. She looked good waist up but we are definitely not a fan of the gown which looks quite messy.

2. Deepika Padukone- WORST:

Deepika flaunted her love for Sabyasachi at Cannes 2022. For the red-carpet look, Deepika wore a striped sequin sari by Sabyasachi along with a tube sequin black blouse. Adding hair tiara, using bronze makeup and nude lip colour, Deepika sort of tried to make her makeup with the undertone bronze colour of her saree. However, what absolutely looked odd was her dramatic eye makeup. Not sure if she was trying to pull off Julia Fox’s look but we would have really loved it if she had kept it a little simple. Though we liked the Padmaavat actor’s shirt and pant look, it is the red carpet look which didn’t really work for us. Considering that Deepika is also one of those actors who love to explore, Deepika’s look was overkill but we loved her guts to take a chance in doing so.

3. Tamannaah Bhatia – BEST:

The Baahubali actor makes her debut at Cannes 2022 and it is surprisingly quite pleasing. Tamannaah picked a black dress from Yanina Couture for her red carpet look and it was quite impressive. Her black sequin gown had a plunging neckline and a dangerously thigh-high slit which is surely not for faint-hearted people. Adding more drama to her look, Tamannaah chose a black cape which quite enhanced her look. The actor opted for dewy makeup, nude lip and slightly smoky eyes. What worked best is that Tamannaah chose a bold step when she is known for her safe choice. Given the fact that Cannes has always seen a various range of fashion, Ms Bhatia played it safe for her first appearance and we loved it.

4. Pooja Hedge – BEST:

The Radhe Shyam actor stunned us with her red carpet appearance. Wearing a dramatic and gorgeous ball gown from the collections of Maison Geyanna Youness, Pooja also rocked her first appearance in the most flattering way. Her gown had a sweetheart neckline and a gown is full of feathers. Keeping her hair in a middle-parted ponytail, Pooja also kept her look quite basic and simple that she rounded with dangling silver earrings. Though her look was vanilla, Pooja’s gown is what impressed us the most.

5. Helly Shah – BEST:

The Swaragini actor has also made her first appearance at Cannes 2022 and what a start. Helly picked a beautiful gown from the collections of Ziad Nakad. The faded bottle green gown has a plunging neckline which is completely embellished. The gown also has an attached sheer cape which adds sheer magic to her look. Opting for a minimal makeup and pulled her hair in a neat bun, Helly actually looks quite beautiful.

6. Urvashi Rautela – WORST: 

Another star who made her debut at Cannes is Urvashi Rautela. The actor wore a tulle dress from the shelves of Tony Ward Couture along with a bold red lip colour. However, Urvashi’s outfit has a major hangover from Deepika Padukone’s neon green dress that she wore at Cannes 2019. It gives us little deja vu vibes and we are not so flattered to see her look.
