Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was a star-studded one at Ambani residence. On the auspicious day, Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani organized a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at their residence. For the event, who’s who of Bollywood were seen gracing the event, upping their ethnic fashion. When it comes to traditional wear, celebs have been giving a twist to their fashion. Given the fact ethnic wear can never go wrong, there are some celebs who have not managed to impress us.
Speaking of which, we have made a list of the best and worst dressed celebs during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Ambani.
Best Dressed Celebs
Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi Kapoor looked like a timeless beauty as she wore a stunning champagne-coloured organza saree. Keeping her hair simple and opting for kundan earrings, Janhvi looked stunning. I loved the saree and the way she styled it.
Ananya Panday
Ananya exuded diva vibes with her saree from Arpita Mehta. She picked this sequin red saree that has a heavy gold border. The saree was paired with a full-sleeved blouse. However, what struck me completely was how she carried this look with panache. I loved her sleek straight hair and rounded her look with a statement choker. But the one thing that was off-putting was the way she draped it as it looked funny from back.
Alia Bhatt
Alia has been impressing us with her saree looks since the promotion of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Well, she managed to kill it again with her latest look. Wearing Arpita Mehta red saree, Alia teamed her saree with a stylish blouse and she nailed it. I loved how she kept everything subtle and still carried it with elan.
Athiya Shetty
Surprisingly, Athiya impressed me with her look. Initially, I didn’t like the fish scales print on the saree but the more I look at it, the more I feel it is not that bad. She paired her red saree with chandelier earrings and pulled her hair into a neat bun. Athiya looked pretty actually.
Shanaya Kapoor
I’m not sure about Shanaya’s look here but I loved her saree for sure. The sheer ivory-white saree looks magical, especially the sequined blouse. She definitely gets a spot in the best dressed list all credits to her stunning saree.
Vicky Kaushal
Okay, he is a heartthrob for me and this man looked so handsome in ethnicity. Vicky with a dense bead and in the traditional ensemble is a visual treat. I loved the choice of outfit for an occasion like the Ganesh festival. Sweet and simple.
Karan Johar
Don’t know about anyone but Karan Johar was giving me Mughal vibes. The design of the jacket and the style reminded me of the Mughal era. Hence, he definitely appeared in the list as KJo looked dapper in the white ethnic wear.
Mouni Roy
STUNNING! That’s the word I have for Mouni. Call me biased as I’m a Bengali but Mouni looked ethereal in this Benarasi pink saree. The Bengali vibes are unmissable. I loved the choice of jewellery and makeup which seemed perfect.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani
I loved how this power couple chose to come as colour-coordinated. Kiara opted for a lime green organza saree while rounding her look with a neat bun and gajra. She looked stunning in all ways. On the other hand, Sidharth wore an emerald green kurta with a sequin work on the hem of the kurta. He too looked quite handsome.
Rashmika Mandanna
I loved how Rashmika kept it simple and sweet. Staying true to her traditional roots, she picked a gold and white combination ensemble for the event. Letting her hair down and simple gold earrings, Rashmika’s simple look touched my heart.
Shraddha Kapoor
Speaking about simplicity, Shraddha also followed suit as she wore a simple white Anarkali. Rounding her look with gajra and chunky white earrings, Shraddha carried her look well.
Salman Khan
Salman oozed Sultan vibes during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Wearing a navy blue kurta and white pyjama, Salman stole the limelight with his presence.
Suhana Khan and Shah Rukh Khan
If we have Sultan, here comes the Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan demanded all the right attention when he wore a chocolate brown kurta and Patiala pants. On the other hand, Suhana Khan also left me impressed with her beige dress. Her outfit reminded me of the 80s style and Suhana pulled it off with ease.
Suhana Khan
Raveena Tandon and daughter Rasha
Raveena Tandon picked a gold saree whereas Rasha picked a baby pink lehenga for the Ganpati celebration. Both of them looked quite beautiful; however, Rasha’s outfit seemed a little too much for an event like this.
Worst Dressed Celebs
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky
Rakul wore a lime green sharara set and no offence but this is something even I won’t pick for any event. Whereas Jackky’s shervani looked basic.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
I felt like Navaratri happened early for Deepika and Ranveer. No kidding but they were giving me a lot of Navratri vibes and I honestly didn’t like it. In fact, I enjoy their fashion diaries but unfortunately, they didn’t impress me this time.
Karisma Kapoor
An outfit that is so dated and unfortunately, Karisma failed to impress me with her charisma.
Genelia and Riteish
The floral print on Riteish’s kurta looks so bad that it hurts my eyes. On the other hand, Genelia’s saree looked so basic. Plus, the pink Gajra looked so odd for some reasons.
Varun Dhawan
Sometimes, I love Varun’s edgy fashion but the half sequined and floral combination looked so weird. I don’t understand this fashion.
Nayanthara
Nayanthara’s look seemed to be so last minute. It seemed like she picked the most basic outfit she found in her wardrobe.
Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan
Sara’s red outfit is such a disaster that I’m speechless. Whereas Ibrahim looked casual and didn’t excite me with his styling.
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa
Similarly, RajKummar and Patralekhaa also opted for subdued ethnic wear that didn’t leave a lasting impact on me.
Shahid Kapoor
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
First, I really want Aishwarya to choose a different hairstyle, it has been done to death. When it comes to her outfit, there’s nothing that is eye-grabbing. It as a dud!
Khushi Kapoor
I have seen Khushi Kapoor wearing similar outfits before and hence, I don’t think she is offering anything new with this style.
Navya Naveli Nanda
Just like Ranveer and Deepika, it seemed like Navya was also all set for the Garba dance. A big no from my side.
Juhi Chawla
Juhi looked beautiful, there’s no denying but her outfit seemed to be heavy for an event like this one. It was Ganesh festival and not a wedding.
Manushi Chhillar
I didn’t like the print of the saree, it was ‘meh’. I know Manushi can do better than this.
Disha Patani
Okay, I don’t know but I have no hopes from Disha when it comes to ethnic looks. She opted for a beige chiffon saree with a bralette and oh boy, what a disaster.
Madhuri Dixit
Not a fan of Madhuri’s look for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival at the Ambani. Plus, that blouse with a heavy saree like that looked so odd.
