The day one of the nine-day festival Navratri 2021 is tomorrow i.e. October 7. The festival will commence on October 7th this year and end on October 15th. During the nine days of Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Durga, observe fasts, do veneration and enjoy Garba and Dandiya raas. This festival is one of the popular and widely celebrated pious Hindu festivals and it celebrates the strength of Devi, the Indian Goddess. People across the country worship Maa Durga in various forms.
For the unversed, the festival’s nine days are marked by wearing nine different colours. And on day 1 of the festival we worship Goddess Shailputri and this year the colour of the day is Yellow.
