EXCLUSIVE: Rakhi Sawant reveals she rejected boyfriend Adil Durrani’s proposal many times: Isko bola I’m not interested

Rakhi Sawant is currently in a happy space. After parting ways with ex-husband Riteish, Rakhi found love in a Mysore-based businessman, Adil Khan Durrani. Rakhi and Adil are madly in love and their social media PDA is proof of that. The couple always grab attention for multiple reasons. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rakhi and Adil opened up about their love story. The actress revealed that she rejected Adil’s proposal many times before finally saying yes.

Rakhi shared, “Mujhe fall in love nahi hona tha. Adil ko bola that I’m not interested. Inhone bohot jaddo jahad ki hai. Yeh mera majnu joh hai, yeh bohot jaddo jahad ki hai. Bolta hai ‘Priyanka aur Nick ko dekh lo, kya kami hai tumme. Bas thodi si badi ho na, it doesn’t matter. When I love you, I like you and I want to come into your life, I want to show you ki ek hatred life apne dekhi hai. Apko nafrat mile hai, dhoke mile hai, mere saath zindagi jeeke dekho. Meri nazar se dekho’. (I didn’t want to fall in love. I told him I am not interested in you. Adil kept struggling. He is my Majnu, he has struggled a lot. He told me ‘Look at Priyanka and Nick, what is lacking in you? You’re older than me that’s it and it doesn’t matter. When I love you, I like you and I want to come into your life, I want to show you that all the hatred you’ve seen so far… live your life with me and see.’)”

She went on to add, “Aaj tak, inke saath maine pyaar ke alawa kuch nahi kia hai. He is so possessive, he loves me. Mein pyaar ka Laila se leke majnu se lekar Juliet se mein dekhu inn saath mahino mein, inhone aaj tak muje ek chot nahi pauchaiyi hai. (Till today, he has only given me love. He is so possessive, he loves me a lot. From Laila-Majnu to Juliet and more, till date, he didn’t hurt me).”

Furthermore, Adil and Rakhi also spilled the beans on their families’ reaction to their relationship. Rakhi had earlier revealed Adil’s family has not accepted their relationship. Talking about it, Adil told us, “Uss time mein she was not talking to any of my family member. Now she has already met my aunt, my mom and she’s met my sister. She has met my cousins in Dubai.” Adding to that, Rakhi said, “Sasural walon se mil lia hai (I’ve met my in-laws)”

Adil went on to add, “Everybody knows what I am doing. They know I am with Rakhi. They know I am working with Rakhi. They know everything. They will take time to adapt. They will take some time.” Rakhi added, “Adil understands me. Unke maa-baap are different. Everyday Adil ke parents ko koi videos bhejte hai. Toh aap namaaz karte ho, aap puja karte ho… aare tumhare ghar toh nahi chale, kisika toh ghar basne do. Inke parents ke dimag mein mere liye zeher bharte hai. Inke kuch log relatives’ hai joh video open karke bhi nahi dekhe. I feel very sad. Khuda hai. (His parents are very different. Everyday someone sends them my videos. You pray. You didn’t make your own house, let someone else make it. People started brainwashing his parents. Some of his relatives haven’t opened the video yet. I feel very sad. God is there.).”

For the uninitiated, Rakhi and Adil recently starred in a music video titled ‘Tu Mere Dil Mein Rehne Ke Layak Nahi’.
