21 years of Kumkum: Juhi Parmar and Hussain Kuwajerwala celebrate the triumph with a dance video – WATCH

It’s been 21 years since Juhi Parmar and Hussain Kuwajerwala’s famous daily soap Kumkum premiered on TV. Well, the occassion is not just about this, but the friendship shared by the two also completes 21 years. Juhi and Hussain have a distinct way of celebrating the milestone.

Juhi and Hussain took to their Instagram handles and dropped a dance video as they groove on the song Banke Tera Jogi from Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla starrer Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. Along with the video, the actress penned a beautiful caption marking the success of the daily soap as well a her friendship with Hussain.

She expressed that the two met on the sets of the famous daily soap. Though the audience loved the on-screen chemistry shared between the two, Juhi said that it was also their friendship where they spent memorable moments laughing and having the best time together.

He caption reads, “21 Years of Kumkum also means 21 years of our friendship. We met on the sets of Kumkum and the rest is history. The audience saw the chemistry onscreen. But for us it was also our friendship behind the scenes…where we laughed and laughed and had the best time together. We sometimes don’t meet for years and even talk on the phone but when we do, it never seems like there’s ever been a gap. Its seamless and that’s the beauty of our friendship! Same crazy banters, laugh riot and nonstop chatters. Bas aur kya chahiye. Our Tom and Jerry wali friendship started at the same time when Sumit Kumkum became everyone’s most loved onscreen jodi. And I hope it remains the same.”

Kumkum witnessed almost seven glorious years as it kept receiving love and appreciation for the story and the characters. Essential roles were played by Juhi as well as Hussain in Kumkum. Unfortunately, the character played by Juhi ends up marrying Sumeet, a character played by Hussain who stands as the brother of her late husband.
