Abhishek Kumar recalls slapping Samarth Jurel on Bigg Boss 17 after being provoked, says, ‘I didn’t even realise’

Bigg Boss 17 came to an end a few days ago. While Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of the reality show, Abhishek Kumar was the first runner-up. Abhishek’s journey in the Bigg Boss house was full of ups and downs. In one of the episodes, Abhishek had slapped Samarth Jurel after he made fun of the former’s mental health. Now, in a recent interview, Abhishek explained why he slapped Samarth.

He told Siddharth Kannan, “I didn’t realise when I slapped Samarth. I don’t even have one percent realisation. And I didn’t even realise whether I had pushed him or slapped him. When he kept his hand on his cheek at that time I realised that I had slapped him. That was my reaction because he had poked me a lot.”

He added, “The thing he said about my father, he thew a blanket at me, him bringing the glass in front of him, Isha talking abaout breaking the TV and how my father had slapped me and all… but after he out tissue in my mouth, I didn’t realise when my hand just lifted and slapped him. I am not proud of that despite people telling me that I did the right thing. He is also somebody’s son and he got the slap in front of the whole nation. I was saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’ after that moment.”

For the uninitiated, after Abhishek slapped Samarth, he was asked to leave the house. Later, in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan slammed Samarth for making fun of Abhishek’s mental health and made him realise he was equally wrong. Abhishek then re-entered the Bigg Boss house.

Talking about the same, Abhishek said, “I was made to stay in a hotel after exiting the Bigg Boss house. I wasn’t given phone as they said I will have Bigg Buzz with Krushna Abhishek. But then, the next day, I was blind folded and sent to the confession room. So, miracles do happen.”

In the finale episode of Bigg Boss 17, Abhishek and Samarth apologised to each other.
