India is severely affected by the ongoing second wave of Covid-19. States like Maharashtra, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Kerala among others are seeing a surge in cases every day and if this continues, it will yet again affect the economy of the country. Actor Ayub Khan who was working for the show, Ranju ki Betiyaan is currently at home as the shoot got stalled. For the unversed, in Maharashtra, all shoots of films, television and advertisement are put on hold due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. In an interview, he spoke about his financial crisis in the pandemic.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ayub said that he didn’t earn any money since the last one and a half year and is “down to the last little pennies now”. Maharashtra is currently under a 15-day shutdown. He said that it is affecting work, and emotional state as everyone is struggling.

Khan also said that if things don’t get better or if he doesn’t start working, he will have to start asking for help. So, he hopes things get better soon and everyone gets back on track.

He said, “You can’t do anything. You just have to make do with whatever you have. And, God forbid, if things go from bad to worse, one will have to put out a hand for help. What else can you do?”

The actor has lost two of his uncles and a couple of friends in the pandemic. So, he knows what loss is. “My uncle walked into the hospital and his dead body came out,” he said and wishes no one goes through this. He is also worried about the carelessness of people.
