Noted television actress Madhavi Gogate passes away on November 21 in Mumbai. She is known for her role in the popular television series Anupamaa. Madhavi played the role of Rupali Ganguly’s on-screen mother in the show. She had recently quit the show and was replaced by veteran actress Savita Prabhune.

Reportedly, a few days back, the actress was detected with COVID-19. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Seven Hills hospital, but unfortunately, there was no improvement in her health. She lost her battle with the fatal virus and breathed her last yesterday afternoon. Madhavi was 58 years old.

The shocking news of her demise was shared by Anupamaa co-star Alpana Buch. Buch wrote, “Madhaviji this is not done..actor can not take exit before scene gets over…we will miss you on Anupamaa set…your cute smile.. sweet voice…n humor…we will all miss you,”

Rupali Ganguly too consoled the demise of the veteran actress. She took to her Instagram stories and sharing a pic of the late actress wrote, “So much left unsaid,”

Nilu Kohli too consoled the demise of Madhavi. She wrote, “Madhavi Gogate my dear friend nooooo.I can’t get down to believing that you have left us. Heartbroken @gogatemadhavi you were too young to go.Damn Covid. P.S: I wish I had picked up that damn phone and spoken to you when you did not reply to my msg. All I can do is regret now.”

Madhavi Gogate is a known name in Marathi films and also on television. She gained much fame with her Marathi film Ghanchakkar and plays such as ‘Gela Madhav Kunikade’ and ‘Bhramacha Bhopala’. The veteran actress has also acted in Hindi TV shows such as Kahin Toh Hoga, Aisa Kabhi Socha Na Tha, Koi Apna Sa, and more.
