‘Rakhi Sawant ko jail jaana padega’ says an elated Adil Khan Durrani as SC rejects her anticipatory bail plea- WATCH

Rakhi Sawant finds herself entangled in a legal predicament as she faces potential arrest in connection with the leaked video case involving her ex-husband, Adil Khan Durrani. The actor stands accused of sharing obscene footage of her and Khan on social media. The ongoing legal saga between Rakhi and her former spouse, Adil, has escalated further. Durrani took to Instagram, revealing that Sawant’s legal troubles had worsened.

In a recent story, he revealed Rakhi’s anticipatory bail plea had been dismissed by the Supreme Court, and she has been instructed to appear before a Mumbai court within four weeks. Reportedly, the court made it clear that her bail plea wouldn’t be entertained until she surrendered herself. Currently, Rakhi Sawant resides in Dubai.

Despite Rakhi’s efforts to secure pre-arrest relief, her plea was rejected by the Supreme Court. Khan accused her of sharing private information without consent. He claimed that Sawant had spent the past four months in Dubai and had already filed multiple FIRs against her. Khan threatened to have her arrested upon her return to India.

Expressing his confidence in the Indian judiciary, Adil remarked, “Hi guys, today I’m very happy. The reason for my happiness is that the Supreme Court has rejected Rakhi’s bail and passed an order stating that she has to surrender within four weeks for her bail plea to be heard. Until then, bail won’t be granted. In simple terms, it means she has to go to jail first, and only then her bail plea will be considered.” He emphasised Sawant’s prolonged absence from India, attributing it to her bail denial.

The accusations levelled against Sawant by Adil Khan Durrani are filed under sections 500 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, pertaining to defamation and involvement in criminal intent as an accomplice, respectively. Additionally, section 67A of the Information Technology Act is cited for electronically publishing sexually explicit material. The FIR alleges that Sawant aired Khan’s video on a television talk show and subsequently circulated it via WhatsApp and other digital platforms.

The tumultuous relationship between Rakhi and Khan, marked by accusations of harassment and domestic abuse, culminated in their breakup last year. Adil’s subsequent arrest in February 2023, following allegations by Sawant, further intensified the drama.

He is now married to Bigg Boss 12 contestant Somi Khan.
