Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer Barbie has been making headlines for multiple reasons ever since it released. While some enjoyed the Greta Girwig directorial, many didn’t like the film. A few days ago, Juhi slammed Barbie for its ‘inappropriate language’ and ‘explicit content’. Now, Jay Bhanushali has joined the list. The actor too shared his review of the film and called Barbie a ‘bad film’.

The actor took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “I’m saving you, I’m saving your money and mental balance. I haven’t seen a worse film than this. It’s a super, super, super bad film. Trust me, the hype is all false. Everyone is stunned after the movie. I’m telling you the truth. It took two days for me to make this video because I was like what kind of a film they’ve made and they’ve promoted like it’ a kids movie. But it’s for neither kids nor adults.”

Jay continued, “The best part is since I’d already paid for the movie, I was trying to tolerate it till the end. But just half an hour after the movie started, my daughter said, ‘Dad, I’m sleeping. I can’t wait this film. Either take me home, I’m too bored. I said ‘No, darling, it’s a good film.’ And the look on her face, I can’t tell you my daughter has never given me such a look in my entire life. She was actually judging me because of the film. She was like, ‘If my dad can like this movie then… what can I say.’ So, I’m telling you your kids will doubt you. Even if you insist you watch the film, they will doubt your taste and choices. So, please beware.”
A few days ago, Juhi Parmar penned an open letter to Barbie in which she revealed that she walked out of the theatre within 10 minutes of watching the film. Apart from Juhi, Shahid Kapoor’s wife, social media influencer Mira Rajput too took a subtle dig at Barbie and Hollywood.
Margot and Ryan star as Barbie and Ken in the film. The movie also stars Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu, and Michael Cera among others. Barbie collected over Rs 5 crore on its first day and has been growing in numbers. The film stands at Rs 25.5 crore.
