EXCLUSIVE: Aly Goni recalls having reservations about meeting Jasmin Bhasin’s parents: Thought her family never liked me

Actors Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni declared their love for each other on Bigg Boss 14 when the latter entered as a wild card contestant. People were absolutely taken aback to see Aly in the house and increased their fandom with their chemistry. However, not just the fans, even their parents were amazed to see them together in the house. Speaking about how their families reacted to the decision, Jasmin revealed that her parents took time to accept the relationship whereas Aly’s parents were quite chill and liked her already.

Jasmin Bhasin on her parents’ reactions:

The Dil Se Dil Tak actor exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “It was very important for both of us because both of us come from a moral and value system where our families and parents are the most important people, their opinions matter. So I always try to make my best effort and everyone becomes his fan in the first meeting only, everyone just loves his energy. We had the same perspective that our parents should be fine and happy and we will give them time. It happened very suddenly, so for us, it was easy to accept it but for families and parents, they have their own perspective, they take time to accept it and we gave them that much time.“

Aly Goni on his parent’s reaction:

The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor revealed, “I used to think that her family never liked me but my family always liked her when we were friends. She got along with my family quite well as they used to live here earlier. She is very close to my sister and at that time, I didn’t meet her family. So, I was very confused, I was wondering if there would be fights but things went smoothly and now everything is very normal.”

When asked if they had any reservations about her dating Aly, Jasmin said, “My family never had reservations, they knew we were friends. Before entering Bigg Boss also, we went out for dinners. For them, it was a surprise that it suddenly happened. A girl’s parents needed some time to understand what is happening. Because to our parents, the concept of a reality show is very different, they took time to understand and accept it. They were confused that people can fall in love and express love.“

After coming to Bigg Boss 14, Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni realised their love for each other. Since then, the two have been inseparable. They are often seen sharing mushy and love-filled pictures on social media, leaving #JasLy shippers in a tizzy.
