‘KBC 12’: Amitabh Bachchan schools a contestant who wished to use prize money to get plastic surgery done of wife’s face

Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ for years now. Even, amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, the 12th season of the quiz show went on air. In every season of ‘KBC’, we see stories of struggles and success of the contestants who sit on the hot seat. But, sometimes some unusual incident also happens on the show.

In one of the episodes, Big B reprimanded a contestant named Koshlendra Singh Tomar who hails from Madhya Pradesh. Koshlendra, who is a Gram Panchayat Secretary, won a small amount before he quit the show. But, one statement of him became the highlight of the episode.

While playing, Amitabh asked him what he would do with the winning amount. Koshlendra said he would first get plastic surgery done on his wife’s face. Mr. Bachchan was surprised by his answer and asked him, “Plastic surgery but why?” To which Koshlendra said, “15 saal se ek he chehra dekh ke bore hogaya hoon (I am tired of seeing the same face for the past 15 years).” After seeing Amitabh Bachchan’s reaction, Koshlendra said he was just joking. Amitabh laughed and asked his wife not to listen to her husband and the actor schooled him saying that he should not say such things even as a joke.

Koshlendra Singh Tomar took home a small amount of Rs 40,000.
