Ankita Lokhande recalls going numb when pictures from Sushant Singh Rajput’s death surfaced online

Ankita Lokhande is currently a part of Bigg Boss season 17. Time and again the actress is seen recalling her past and talking about late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. During yesterday’s episode, the Pavitra Rishta actress was seen talking to Munawar Faruqui and recalling how she went numb when Sushant’s funeral pics surfaced online. Ankita Lokhande also remembered how he was interested in Physics and shared Sushant Singh Rajput was going through a lot.

Ankita Lokhande talks about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise

Talking to Munawar, the actress shared, “When I saw him, I felt everything was over. So many films he watched, and everything was over. There was this one picture of him which was very bad. Mere haath paaon thande pad rahe the. It looked like he was sleeping. I just kept looking at that picture and thought uske dimag mein kitna kuch tha. I knew him very well. He must have had so much in his brain but all just vanished. You are nothing, you’re just a body then.”

When Munawar asked about Sushant’s family, Ankita shared, “He was from Bihar right?” Munawar inquired, “Family was in Bihar?” Ankita averred, “No. One of his sisters was in the USA, another was in Chandigarh, and his father was in Patna and Delhi. Very very well-educated family. Highly intelligent people.”

Ankita further shared about Sushant Singh Rajput, “He was so intelligent. He used to solve mathematics in a blink. He was an IIT student and in India, he earned 7th rank in IIT.”

Ankita further shared the reason behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and told Munawar, “Tut gaya voh kisi chiz se. Nahi hona chahiye tha (He was broken because of something. This shouldn’t have happened).” When the stand-up comedian asked if it was because of a “lot of things”, Ankita said, “I don’t know.”

Ankita recalls blocking people associated to him

During their interaction, Ankita also revealed that following Sushant’s demise, she blocked a lot of people on social media. Explaining the reason behind the same, the actress said, “But maine na bohot logo ko uss time pe block kiya. Kyuki meko itna ganda bola jaata tha, mei nahi le sakti thi. Maine block kar diya. (But I blocked many people that time because there were bad things told to me which I couldn’t take it). It was very difficult. For anyone who was related to him (Sushant Singh Rajput). I was not there in his life when it all happened.”

For those unversed, Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput were in a relationship for 7 years and ended their relationship in 2016. In a shocking turn of events, Sushant died by suicide on June 14, 2020, in Mumbai.
