TV reality show Super Dancer 3 had fallen into a debacle after a notice was issued by the National Commission for Protection Of Child Rights to Sony Picture Networks. The notice was issued with a reference that the show was airing inappropriate content in an episode. Addressing to the issue, Anurag Basu, who was one of the judge of the reality show has spoken about the matter.

The judge and also a film-maker addressed the matter in a recent interview and said that he understands the situation. Being a parent himself, Anurag Basu also empathized with the concerns. Being a father of two children, the film-maker added that he cannot defend the matter as he empathizes with the embarassment faced by the parents. Speaking about the issue, a child contestant from the reality show was asked inappropriate as well as sexually explicit questions about his parents.

Calling the reality show a kids dace show, he further added that children speak up some things innocently. Adding ahead, Anurag said that kids speak up so many things which they do have control over.

Moreover, the film-maker also emphasized that the judges of a reality show, including him, must stay cautious when asking questions to the contestants. He also added the he was speaking on his behalf and not on channel’s behalf. Anurag Basu also expressed his concern over preventing such incidents from happening again in the near future.

It was in 2019 when Super Dancer was aired, and had Shilpa Shetty, Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur as judges of the show. Speaking about the matter, the channel has been demanded to take down the inappropriate content from every platform.
