Anusha Dandekar is without a doubt one of the most popular VJs we have in India. The pretty lady, who has been hosting, judging, travelling and also helping her brand grow, has been constantly keeping her social media family updated with what’s happening in her life. The pretty lady recently showed her solidarity towards the death of George Floyd and posted a picture of #BlackOutTuesday. She has been trolled massively for the same, and Anusha aptly slammed one of the trolls for the comments.
It all began with Anusha posting a blackout picture with the caption, “RACISM IS NOT OKAY! It never will be, never should be, wherever we are in the world. Within our own country or in others! WE SHOULD ALL BE HUMAN, TOGETHER! #blackouttuesday (sic).” Have a look at the post right here:

One of the trolls went on to write on this, “I appreciate you doing this. I also appreciate you interacting in the comments with everyone including the hate and the criticism. However, I shall voice exactly what others are saying- why is the concern not so grave when it comes to your own country? This is not what-aboutery or distraction, this is me simply asking you a question. The debate about issues in the US and their politics are just as nuanced as in our country, people disagree there too. Same way, even here people unite to protest for a cause and express dissent, engage in debates etc. Humans are humans. Saying that people here can’t unite the way they do in the US is just factually wrong. About racism being an issue with zero gray areas and a clear right and wrong side, so is the same for all kinds inequalities including the ones on religion and caste. But yes, they are controversial to talk about in this country just like racism against blacks is in the US. So saying we can have a conversation about that and not this is just something unacceptable to me. It’s not about what’s easy to discuss, it’s about what’s important, and the country needs us to talk about issues that are controversial and difficult too, including public figures like you. ? (sic).”
Anusha hit back with, “I agree with you… but I also believe this was a great stepping stone because it’s pointing to all human life being important instead of dividing it and having to argue and lose focus… but again I’m having to defend myself even now. So if I wrote about Kashmir, Muslims, Hindus, everyone would jump on a team! But it’s not a sport! I see everyone as one and always will. I stand up for human kind always! And skin colour, religion etc should never matter. I stand up for women and whatever sexual preference you are born with. I educate on tv and wherever I can to open minds and hearts. But I do it in my way… and still that is a reason for people to lash out and think I don’t care for my country but when I spoke up and did and still do my bit for our people suffering in this time, it didn’t matter it’s just expected. When I do things for animals, it’s like oh well you save those animals but what about the others and then come at my two babies. I can’t win with the world and I don’t want to. But I will just be who I am and be the best I can be. I am very grateful to be raised and taught to Live without prejudice and judgement (sic).”
We must say, well said Anusha!
