After the death of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Ghanshyam Nayak, the industry has lost yet another gem. Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who was best known for his role of Ravan on the much loved Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar passed away. The actor breathed his last on Tuesday after he suffered a heart attack and a multiple organ failure.
Kaustubh Trivedi, Arvind’s nephew told ETimes, “He was not keeping well for quite some time, but today he suffered a heart attack and that led to multi-organ failure.” Arvind Trivedi was 82 years old and his last rites will take place on Wednesday morning in Mumbai.

Apart from his role as Ravan, Arvind was also known for his role in Vikram Aur Betaal. Apart from that, the veteran actor was also seen in many Gujarati films. He was a part of the Gujrati cinema for 40 years. Apart from having a successful career in acting in the Hindi and Gujrati entertainment industry, Arvind Trivedi was also a Member of Parliament from 1991 to 1996, for which he was selected from the Sabarkatha constituency. The Ramayan actor was also the acting chairman of the Censor Board for Film Certification (CBFC).
