Asha Negi is one of most sought-after actors of the television industry. She became a household name with her role of Purvi in Pavitra Rishta. It was on the show she fell in love with her co-star Rithvik Dhanjani. After going strong in their relationship for six long years, they called it quits in 2020. Asha and Rithvik broke up and it broke hearts of their fans. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, the diva has opened up about her relationship and break-up with Rithvik, making her transition to OTT due to failure in TV, coming out of her shell and embracing herself, and a lot more.
When asked if it was difficult for her to handle the media scrutiny as she was in a relationship during the show, she said that she was going with the flow. Asha added, “I din’t think this happening or that is happening. At that moment, I have come from Dehradun and I have no idea how the industry was. I was struggling through the whole experience of delivering one scene properly and then there is this guy who is opposite me. He is a nice guy (Rithvik), helping me through the scenes. So, yaah, I just went with the flow.”
Asha also said that 2020 was a transformational year for her as she was in a cocoon before that. She said that there was pain, hurt and a lot of baggage because she had to handle her personal life and fans who were upset and felt betrayed. “You have to handle everything, you have to make sure that people aren’t hurt and people also understand that. But I am sure that fans specially are the fans who are still in 15, 16. Once they are in the late 20s, they will understand. It’s ok such is life, things happen. Till the time people are happy, it’s great. So, it was a feeling that I came out of my cocoon and I am still transforming.”

She further said, “I feel that through this transformation I get this urge of learning new things, work on myself more and as I said I was lost, doing work, enjoying the fame but kabhi woh jo inner realisation hoti hai, retrospection woh sab itna hua nahi tha. And finally when you go through a tough time, you have time to think about yourself, work on yourself, you become a better person. A lot of that happened and that’s what started happening from 2020. I have started self-prioritising, working on my fitness, diet, learning new things, unlearning a lot.”
The actress went on to add, “I never thought that at 32 I will feel so alive. I feel that age is just a number. To be honest, I haven’t felt so gorgeous, so sexy ever before in my life. I feel its the best phase of my life and I really like living it, enjoying it, making the most of it, want to become a better person, learn more and do more work.”
