After Shailesh Lodha, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Babita Ji aka Munmun Dutta to quit the show?

Just some days back, it was reported that Shailesh Lodha who essayed the role of Taarak Mehta from the longest-running show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is set to quit the show. However, there has been no confirmation on that. Now, the latest news that is buzzing is that Munmun Dutta is also planning to leave the show. According to the latest reports, Munmun Dutta who essays the role of Babita Ji in the show is quitting TMKOC for Bigg Boss OTT. However, an official confirmation on the same is still awaited from the actor.

This is not the first time that the news of her quitting the show has surfaced on social media. Earlier, Ms Dutta made headlines for the same as she remained absent from the episodes when the cast had to shift to Daman due to the coronavirus pandemic. Later, Munmun herself clarified that she was absent from the sets because the plot did not require her presence.

“People are saying that I did not report on the sets of the show and it is totally untrue. The truth is that the track in the show did not require my presence. Therefore, I was not called for shooting. Production decides the scenes and the next track. I don’t decide that. I am just an individual who goes to work, does her job and comes back. So if I am not required in the scenes, I will obviously not shoot,” Munmun said.

Earlier, Munmun Dutta was making headlines when it was reported that she got arrested for using a casteist slur in one of her videos. Dismissing the rumours, Munmun told us, “Contrary to rumours claiming that I was “arrested”, I want to clarify that I went in for a regular interrogation with the police officials. I was NOT ARRESTED. In fact, I had received the interim bail from the Court already on Friday before I went in for the interrogation.”
