‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’: Saumya Tandon quits the show for THIS reason

For quite some time rumours of Saumya Tandon quitting ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!’ show has been doing the rounds of social media. The actress has finally confirmed that she has indeed quit the show. Saumya played Anita aka the Gori Mem in the hit sit-com ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’. And this news will definitely break her fans’ hearts.

Confirming the news, Saumya told the Bombay Times, “Yes, I have decided to not renew my contract further. Tomorrow (August 21) is my last day of the shoot. Finally, people can stop speculating whether I will continue on the show or not.”

Sharing the reason why she decided to leave the show, Saumya said, “Well, you can say that it’s an impractical decision to quit a stable job, that too, in an established show. But, I realised that being employed and earning a regular income was not exciting enough any more. Desire to grow as an artiste: I want to do projects where there is scope for growth as an artiste.”

The beautiful actress went on to share that ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’ did contribute to her growth as an actress however she couldn’t see herself playing the same role for the next five years. The actress even shared that after her hair-dresser tested positive for Covid-19 she was anxious as she didn’t want to risk her mother and toddler son’s life.

Saumya even clarified that she is not leaving the show for monetary reasons and that she still shares a great rapport with her producers Sanjay and Binaifer Kohli.
