Ridhima Pandit lost her mother this April due to Covid-19 related complications. Ridhima had revealed that her mother was diagnosed with kidney issues five years ago and was undergoing dialysis. Later she tested positive for Covid due to which she lost her battle with life. Now that Ridhima is in Bigg Boss OTT, it is not easy for the actress to stay in an environment that constantly tests your emotions. In an exclusive chat with us, Ridhima said that she is barely keeping it together and drawing support from her family.
Talking about her mother, “My focus was purely my mother and work by then. My mother more and less of my work. I do feel that she is blessing me from up there and she wants me to take this up and I will carry this forward through her. Bigg Boss was my mother’s favourite show and this year I thought I was destined for it.”
Further talking about dealing with her mother’s death and getting in Bigg Boss, “I’m barely together. But luckily my family is my support system, my sister- I think she does not grieve as much as her energy goes I taking care of me. So now I’m going to a place where I don’t know if anyone will care for me or not. But I remember my mother used to say that I will not be able to do Bigg Boss and I would only watch it. She used to think I was delicate and cry easily. Then she saw me in Khatron Ke Khiladi and was like ‘Arey I can’t imagine’. Somewhere I feel that this is our little connect and I want to maintain it through this show and take it forward.”
