Exclusive: Sonali Phogat: I don’t regret abusing Rubina Dilaik in Bigg Boss 14

Inside the Bigg Boss house, if there was one star who used to get everyone else to shut their trap, it was Sonali Phogat. Hailing from Haryana, she played the game like a queen and made sure she earned the respect of everyone inside the house and also from the outside world. Her fan following also increased immensely after her short and brief stay inside the BB 14 house. However, she somewhat had a tussle with Rubina Dilaik, who already thinks of herself as the winner of the show. So during our chat with Sonali, she explained the whole thing as to wherefrom it started and how it all flared up.

Sonali spoke to Bollywood Bubble after her eviction from the show. Have a look at her video interview right here:

When asked about Rubina Dilaik, Sonali said, “You all must have seen that I used to praise Rubina a lot whenever she used to get ready and come up or even when I entered the house. My mom and even I used to like her a lot. I had even said after entering the show that she seemed like someone with a lot of values and morals. But, slowly and steadily as I started to get to know her inside the house (my opinions changed). After being with her for 24 hours, the first thing that I noticed was during the new year when Rubina came out to all of us an egoistic person. The image that I had of her was completely shattered that day. I am elder to her and my words shouldn’t have had bothered her that much. She behaved as if she was the queen of the house and everyone else was her servant.”

Sonali went o to add, “After that, there was an incident where Rubina told me that I was more mature than the others in the house and therefore I shouldn’t stoop to their level. Indirectly she was telling me to keep quiet. I feel she didn’t want the audience or the others to see that it was this maturity of mine which helped me to always remain calm and simple and also follow all the rules of the house in a much better way than her. She started being insecure about me and when someone is insecure of someone else, they always tend to pull them down and target them continually.”

Lastly, “Even in the task where Nikki Tamboli tore off my picture, Rubina should have made me understand calmly rather than inciting me and making me angry so that I end up using expletives on her.”

On being prodded further about whether or not she regrets the incident where she ends up abusing Rubina, which even Salman Khan had spoken to her about, Sonali said, “Not at all. I am not regretting it at all. Even when Salman Khan brought this topic up, I had apologised to the audience and to him, but even till date, I haven’t apologised to Nikki, Rubina and Abhinav, the people who were involved in that photo-tearing incident. I don’t have any regrets because I was abusing only those people who had stooped a really shameful level and conspired against me.”

We must say, very well said Sonali.

Indeed Sonali is a fighter, and she has proved the same in her brief stint inside the Bigg Boss 14 house. Kudos to you for your strength, courage, righteousness and valour.
