‘Aashram’ Trailer: Bobby Deol starrer unfolds the blind faith bestowed upon fake and self-styled Godman

India is a country where religion has been turned into a money-minting business. For ages, we have seen fake godman taking undue benefit of people’s faith. And that’s exactly what Prakash Jha’s upcoming show ‘Aashram’ aims to highlight.

Produced and directed by Prakash Jha, Bobby Deol starrer ‘Aashram’ unfolds the blind faith that millions bestow upon self-proclaimed leaders. The show’s trailer was dropped today and it will definitely pique your interest.

MX Player has now joined hands with acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha to bring you MX Original Series ‘Aashram’, releasing on 28th August 2020. Having created ripples with its teaser poster and unusual disclaimer, this satirical drama marks National Award-winning director Jha’s foray into the world of web-series’ and is starring Bobby Deol as Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala in the lead role.

The trailer has dropped today, and it questions how some self-proclaimed leaders distort the truth to exploit simple and innocent believers. This fictional story on the undying loyalty for Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala and his Aashram is an attempt on the same subject and hints at whether it is indeed a place of faith.
