Case filed against Ektaa Kapoor and mother under POCSO Act for obscene scenes in Gandii Baat- Report

Producer and Alt Balaji platform owner Ektaa Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor have been booked under the POCSO Act due to an obscene scene in their series Gandii Baat. Reportedly, an episode of season 6 of the web series Gandii Baat on the OTT platform Alt Balaji has an obscene scene featuring a minor girl. According to Mumbai Police, a case has been registered against Balaji Telefilm Limited, Ektaa R Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, at MHB police station in Mumbai under sections 295-A of IPC, IT Act and sections 13 and 15 (using a minor for pornographic purposes) of the POCSO Act.

As reported by ANI, the complaint mentioned the series showed minor girls in obscene scenes. The case was related to Season 6 of Gandii Baat. However, the episode is currently not streaming on the app. The adult comedy series directed by Sachin Mohite is under investigation. Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor have yet to release an official statement. For now, stay tuned for more updates on this development.
