Case filed against Karan Mehra and his family on Nisha Rawal’s complaint

Amidst the legal tussle between Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal, Mumbai police has now filed a case against the former. Following the actress’ complaint of domestic violence, a case has been registered against Karan and his family. Last month, Nisha had filed complaint of domestic violence against her husband and his family members Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra.

Now a case has been registered against the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor and his family members too have been charged with assault and willful harassment. According to the India Today report, Nisha has also accused Karan of withdrawing more than Rs 1 crore from her bank account. Following Nisha’s complaint, Karan was arrested on may 31 by the Mumbai Police for allegedly assaulting his wife. He was later released on bail.

Nisha had alleged that Karan had brutally assaulted her which left her forehead bleeding. However Karan had claimed that she was just trying to frame him and her injury was self-inflicted.

Commenting on Karan’s allegations, Nisha’s close friend Munisha Khatwani had exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “Just tell me one thing, if somebody has to harm themselves the last thing you will do is bang your head against a wall and crack your skull in half. Because that could be instant death. That’s very torturous and painful. I can’t imagine banging my head like that. I don’t think anybody in their sense would do that. She has a four year-old-child. She has to think about the child. She would never do that. Secondly, she is an actor, she is a social media influencer. Her life thrives on campaigns. Her life thrives on acting. She is such a pretty girl. Would she risk ruining her face by banging her head against the wall?”

Nisha had also accused her husband on having an extra marital affair. However the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai rubbished her claims.
